Abstract:
Der Beitrag entwickelt Post-Partizipation als Begriff für die Verarbeitung digitaler Beiträge und Datenspuren nach ihrer Erhebung. Er verbindet bisher getrennte Ansätze und analysiert Macht in dieser Phase entlang dreier Dimensionen: Kontrolle über Daten und ihre Deutung, über deren institutionelle Übersetzung und Umsetzung sowie über Erfolgserzählungen. Daraus leitet er Anforderungen an digitale Beteiligungssysteme ab: Verarbeitungsschritte nachvollziehbar und auditierbar zu machen, Beteiligte rückzukoppeln und auch die nachgelagerte Phase zu evaluieren.
The article develops post-participation as a concept for the processing of digital contributions and data traces after they have been collected. It brings together previously separate approaches and analyzes power in this phase along three dimensions: control over data and its interpretation; control over its institutional translation and implementation; and control over narratives of success and failure. It derives requirements for digital participation systems: making processing steps transparent and auditable, providing feedback to participants, and evaluating the downstream processing phase as well.
