Abstract:
This special issue examines how China’s digital ecosystem shapes migration both to and from China. It focuses on the interaction between policies, public attitudes, and digital platforms, showing how migrants’ everyday practices help produce platforms as infrastructures that influence mobility, belonging, access to services, and social participation. The issue also highlights how socioeconomic precarity, ethnoracial perceptions, and gendered beliefs can intensify migrants’ vulnerability and exclusion
