Abstract:
This qualitative study examines technostress and resilience during a university-wide shift from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 in Oman. Interviews with nine faculty and staff members identified four themes: technostress, coping strategies, institutional support and barriers, and organizational wellbeing. The findings show that forced digital migration is a psychosocial—not merely technical—process. Limited consultation and uneven support weakened recovery and wellbeing, while peer learning and informal support helped rebuild resilience. The study recommends participatory planning, transparent communication, relational support, and recovery-oriented digital design.
