Abstract:
This study compares physical and virtual laboratories and presents a remote lab platform for tank-level control that integrates AI-based advanced control methods (predictive control with neural networks and reinforcement learning) and cloud-based industrial simulation. Designed to support interactive, hands-on learning, the platform democratizes access to modern control education, improves students’ practical skills and theoretical understanding, and aligns training with industry needs. Future work will use structured assessments (pre/post-tests, surveys) to measure educational impact
