Abstract:
This article examines how thirteen Norwegian journalists perceive the future challenges of Visual Open Source Investigative Journalism (VOSIJ). Using interviews, participant observation, and Causal Layered Analysis, it identifies limited professional expertise—linked to institutional inertia and insufficient training resources—as the main obstacle. The study highlights the need for greater visual literacy and considers whether VOSIJ should become a core journalistic function.
