Abstract:
This scoping review maps English-language studies (2000–2022) on research ethics in educational research, finding uneven engagement: strong focus on participant protection and formal guidelines but limited attention to context-specific dilemmas, research quality, societal relevance, and researcher-in-context issues, and calls for clearer definitions, theory, context-sensitive approaches, and better dialogue with ethics committees.
