Abstract:
Study of digital citizenship in Indonesian senior high schools via convergent mixed methods (120 students, 15 PPKn teachers, Makassar). Students show strong ethical awareness (online safety, misinformation) but low active civic engagement; teachers use critical media literacy yet face training, curriculum, and institutional barriers. Recommends embedding digital citizenship into PPKn, sustained teacher professional development, and culturally responsive, school-wide initiatives; notes urban sample and self-report limits and calls for broader research to shape national policy.
