Abstract:
The article presents a PRISMA-based systematic review of 74 studies using netnography in journalism, showing that despite the method’s maturity, its use in journalism is still limited and fragmented, faces ethical and access challenges to digital platforms, and leaves key areas of digital journalism cultures and online communities underexplored, while offering significant future potential.
