Abstract:
This editorial traces a shift in postdigital scholarship from defining the postdigital condition to asking what should be done within it to foster better futures. Situating this turn within broader critical EdTech debates, it highlights key research challenges—political economy, theory-building, affirmative critique, and engagement with digital futures and inequalities—while insisting on contextual, situated inquiry. It previews forthcoming work in Postdigital Science and Education, reflects on how the community generates knowledge, and offers cautious speculations and an open invitation for collective action on future research directions.
