Abstract:
The paper examines how university teachers actually experience a refurbished, technology‑rich classroom as “futures in the present,” revealing tensions between idealized visions, established routines, and current practices. Using walking interviews and a practice-based analysis (materials, meaning, skill), the authors identify themes around space, movement, informality, simultaneity, and variation, arguing that embodied experimentation in prototype spaces offers key insights for designing convivial, equitable, and sustainable postdigital classrooms.
