Abstract:
Qualitative study (interpretivist, purposive sample n=25) on the digital technology gap for women entrepreneurs in Mashonaland West, Zimbabwe. Thematic analysis shows limited access to tech training, infrastructure deficits, security/trust issues, discriminatory customary and statutory norms restricting ownership of digital tools, and financial exclusion that hampers investment in technologies. Ethical procedures observed. If unaddressed, these barriers perpetuate the digital gender gap and constrain women’s entrepreneurial activity; the study fills a local research gap in the Zimbabwean context.
