Abstract:
The paper systematically reviews 85 empirical studies (2014–2024) on “digital‑intelligent technologies” (at the intersection of AI and digitalisation) in physical education. It finds that these tools now support a full closed loop in PE: intelligent lesson design, real‑time visualisation and monitoring of activity, and data‑driven assessment and feedback. Innovations include adaptive learning platforms, virtual simulations, multimodal performance assessment, and health‑behaviour tracking. While these technologies make PE more personalised and data‑informed, they also raise issues around algorithmic reliability, data privacy, and unequal access, pointing to the need for better algorithms, stronger ethical safeguards, and digital equity
