Abstract:
This paper reviews scarce literature on AI in school leadership and applies Huang & Rust’s AI job-replacement theory alongside evidence on ChatGPT and large language models to outline AI applications for school management. It finds AI (e.g., ChatGPT) can streamline administrative tasks, improve communication among leaders, teachers, parents and students, boost leader efficiency, and provide personalized support. The paper discusses benefits, implications, and offers recommendations for future research.
