Abstract:
This small-scale action research with undergraduate students and two tutors investigated how to facilitate collaborative engagement in a virtual dissertation module. Using positioning theory, questionnaires, and interviews, the study examined participants’ constructions of self and others, their perceived roles and expectations, and evolving learner identities. The virtual space emerged as primarily relational, with dynamic positionings affecting personal, collective, and relational agency; findings indicate a topology of learning shaped by these interactions
