Abstract:
Electronic mediation and mass migration increasingly define the contemporary world as ICTs reshape migration dynamics. Digital technologies enable state surveillance and border control while empowering migrants through smartphones, social media, and apps for information, communication, remittances, emotion management, and political participation. These changes pose significant theoretical, methodological, and ethical challenges; the chapter focuses on methodological concerns in digital migration studies
