Share:

Category: Event
Keywords: Educational inequalities; intersectionality; equality of opportunity

This conference examines educational inequalities as dynamic, context-dependent processes shaped by the interaction between social structures and individual agency throughout the life course. It explores how gender, socioeconomic and migration background, ethnicity, disability, and geographical location influence educational opportunities and outcomes across formal, non-formal, and informal learning contexts. The conference highlights methodological innovation, intersectionality, cumulative advantage and disadvantage, education’s impact on life chances, and the policy frameworks that shape these processes. By bringing together conceptual, empirical, and policy-oriented perspectives, it seeks to strengthen international and interdisciplinary collaboration, promote comparative research, and develop effective strategies for reducing educational disadvantage, advancing equality of opportunity, and strengthening social cohesion.
