This Collection examines human-centered, crisis-responsive education in unequal digital contexts, focusing on how AI and digital transformation can be designed, governed, and used to support inclusion, wellbeing, cultural relevance, and sustainable learning in under-resourced, crisis-affected, and marginalised settings. It seeks evidence-based, context-sensitive research on ethical AI, digital inclusion, teacher preparedness, wellbeing, decolonial/culturally responsive pedagogy, climate-resilient learning, flexible models, and inclusive assessment—especially from the Global South and other underrepresented contexts.
