Special issue on human-in-the-loop (HITL) behavioral information security in the AI era, inviting research that centers human behavior, cognition, and motivation amid AI-driven offensive and defensive cybersecurity. Emphasis on balancing AI automation with human oversight across topics such as neurosecurity, human-AI collaboration in security decision-making, AI-enabled security training and nudging, behavioral implications of generative AI (phishing, deepfakes, insider threats), design science for intelligent security artifacts, adaptive personalized interventions, and reconceptualizing behavioral security theories for AI-mediated environments. Purely technical/system-level papers are out of scope.
