Abstract:
Intercultural competence (IC) has emerged as an important aspect in meeting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In an increasingly interconnected and diverse world, individuals have to possess the skills and knowledge to successfully manage intercultural interactions. This chapter underlines the significance of IC in education and its role in meeting the SDGs. It emphasizes the relevance of IC in encouraging collaboration and addressing global challenges, hence promoting sustainable development via increased intercultural understanding and cooperation.
