We will discuss how new forms of “doing diaspora” and the construction of spaces of identification beyond origin are emerging in the post-digital age. In line with recent approaches to digital diaspora studies, which focus on the continuity between diasporic online and offline worlds, we will explore the entanglements of digital and non-digital diasporic representations, narratives and practices. 16 scholarly talks will be complemented by two cultural events with Tunay Önder (co-founder of the blog Migrantenstadl) at the Goethe Institut Madrid and with Yeison García López and Heidi Ramírez on the poetry collection “Derecho de admisión” (2021) at the Centro Cultural Conciencia Afro. For all those who cannot be present in Madrid, we will broadcast the scientific panels on both days via Zoom. Anyone interested can register at digitaldiaspora@uni-bremen.de
