Najwa Saba 'Ayon

Dr. Najwa Saba 'Ayon, an associate professor, is the Chairperson of the Languages and Liberal Arts Department at Rafik Hariri University. She is the advisor of the English Language Program and the coordinator of Professional English and Arabic Communication Courses. She has a BA in English Language, a teaching Diploma in TEFL, as well as an MA in TEFL from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon and a Doctorate of Education (EdD) from the University of Sussex, England. Dr. Saba 'Ayon has long experience teaching EFL, linguistics, intercultural communication, and public speaking. She has also published and presented in national and international conferences on student motivation, collaborative learning in ESP courses, and EFL teachers’ conceptions of teaching and their practice. Dr. Saba 'Ayon is interested in teacher training and development, ESP, intercultural communication, preparation of professional intercultural communications, and multilingualism. She has been recognized for teaching excellence at her university.
